Its Me

Gorgeous, intelligent, kind, sweet, charming, witty, hilarious, friendly...

Me a teenager, soon to be an adult. Presently I am quite busy in studies, though I find myself ample time for tweeting, and blogging.

I like reading, whatever is worth reading, starting from novels to magazines to newspapers.
I also like listening to songs, mostly Bengali, Hindi and sometimes English, but I never like embarrassing myself and others by singing a song myself.
A few Video games also sometimes fascinate me.

My 2 philosophies in life are:
i) The Bible may have said "Hate the Sin and Not the Sinner", but I say "Hate the Sin as well as the Sinner, but don't ever be the Sinner of the same Sin Yourself"
ii) People say there is much to learn by seeing the great deeds of the Good people. But I say that there is even much more to learn by seeing the Nasty deeds of Bad people. We just have to Hate their nasty deeds and promise ourselves not to see those nasty deeds in ourselves.

Quite unique isn't it?

Now do I seem to be quite philosophical. Well I'm not.
I also like making new friends, and chatting with them that is why I'm in the social networking sites.

So that's all about me.

Movie Review: 3 Idiots

Just a couple of days ago, I finally had a chance to watch the blockbuster year ending film of the year: 3 Idiots.  No doubt it’s a great film. It’s a damn good film which it makes you set your eyes on screen right from the beginning to the end. Congratulations to the crew, director, and the actors of the film.

The film starts with phone call from Chatur Ramalingam to Farhan who claims to have found their long separated friend Rancho. Finally Farhan acts of having a Heart attack in the aero plane and makes an Emergency Landing and then takes a taxi which was for someone else to his friend Raju Rastogi’s house. From their they go to their college- Imperial College of Engineering (ICE) and finally sets on a quest to find their friend Ranchoddas ShyamalDas Chancharr. And Farhan starts saying about their college days in the car.

The first scene itself is very funny. In the ragging scene, Rancho manages to escape the ragging and the senior gets a massive electric shock on his ‘you know what’. The film progresses in this way with lots of funny incidents taking place throughout the college with the Director Virus and Chatur Ramalingam, an Indian student from Uganda. There are lots of jokes and funny one-liners that make you often giggle. Often burst out laughing throughout the movie. The funniest of them was Chatur or Silencer’s speech already popular as ‘Chamatkar ka Balatkar’. It was simply awesome.  Another great character in the film was the small boy called ‘millimeter’. He was very funny throughout the film. At the end he becomes a ‘centimeter’.

The college had some sad incidents as well. Begging with Lobo’s death hat shakes everybody just after the song ‘Aal Izz Well’. There were often Rustication threats to the 3 Idiots.  The family condition of Raju is really very poor. Once Raju also jumps for the Director’s window but eventually does not die. They make you really emotional.

Then the three on the quest in the car reach Shimla, but hears a strange story that Rancho was not the real name of their friend and Rancho was someone different. They take his address and head towards Ladakh. But midway from they return they return to Manali to take Piya, Rancho’s would be wife, who had ‘almost married’ there.  Piya runs away with Raju to Ladakh where she ultimately meets whom they knew to be Rancho. He had set up a beautiful school there and had 400 patents in his name for his strange discoveries.  That part of the film is also great when Rancho and his fiends deliver Mona’s son with a vacuum cleaner! After which Rancho gets the pen as promised by the director at the beginning of the session.

The film is really great. And you got to watch it if you haven’t till now. It depicts great friendship and the flaws of the education system, the students as pressure cookers and lot more.

The music tracks of the film are also awesome. Aal Izz Well and Zoobi Doobi are very frequent in Television music channels and FMs. The other tracks like Jaane Nahi Denge, Behti Hawa Sa, and Give me some sunshine are extraordinary songs.

The last word: It is being said that 3 Idiots is loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s 5 Point Someone. I have read it and I can say that there is not much similarity in the two except that there are 3 friends in an Engineering college, and there was a teacher’s daughter. One of the Idiots family conditions was poor and he had jumped from the top. That’s all. Though I am great fan of Chetan I have to say that the story of 3 Idiots was better than 5 Point Someone’s. Good work Raj Kumar Hirani.
